A Special Experience for our Family!

Sunday my family had the opportunity to go to the Draper Temple Dedication! A couple of months ago we did a walk through & it was amazing!! Everyone got their "special"(Golden Tickets) early so we wouldn't miss out on this experience! There was such a wonderful spirit there and it lingered throughout the night. I am so grateful for the knowledge that my family is forever, & that it doesn't end with death. In this world where there is so much turmoil & uncertainty the one thing I am certain of is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It gives me such comfort. President Monson told of a story of a time he went to a funeral of a young mother, as he met the youngest daughter, she looked at him and said "Brother Monson, Don't Cry.... My mom said that we will be with her again and I know it's true, because my mom always told the truth." I know that we have the fullness of the Gospel on the earth today, and I am so glad to be a part of it! I am truly blessed every day in one way or another by having it in my life. What a blessing it is to have had this special experience with my precious family. I am grateful for the Temple in my life

Friday Ashlee had her science fair at school. She has been working so hard on it this past month! As you know, when your child has a project due...so do you! I do have to say that she had very minimal help from us. Have you ever wondered why the tips of the wings on some of the airplanes are bent upwards?!?! Ashlee chose this as her project, they are called "winglets" their purpose is to make the aircraft safer and stablizes it in turbulant winds. & it saves energy too! Anyway, We(Grandma Smith & I) were able to go and see her do her experiment at school! I know she was very nervous, but she did a great job and appeared to be an expert on the subject!! GOOD JOB ASHLEE!!

Ashlee is such a lucky girl to be blessed with a big family, there are so many cousins and friends to play with. Since she was just a baby, she has become particularly fond of the Olsen's! Honestly they are probably her very best friends. Saturday, Leah, Ashlee's cousin got married ... she had the opportunity to spend some time with her BFF's! I am so grateful that they are close in age so that they can be good friends.

Sidenote: Ashlee has shown a real interest in photography. She is always asking me if she can use my camera.... I guess that I will need to get a new one so that she can have mine...(HINT:HINT):)! Ashlee has pretty much always had long hair, she has had it cut maybe 3 times in her whole life. She was actually trying to let it grow & I think she just got tired of it. So we went & got her hair cut the other night....It looks so cute!! Her hair was so long that they were able to donate her hair to locks of love, this was the 2nd time she has donated! She was very happy that she would be helping someone in need & her haircut was Free!! What could be better than that!
