10 things I love about Jake

Sometimes I feel like Jake gets pushed in the background. He is the middle child after all. But he is a really great kid. So, I was thinking about all of the good qualities that Jake has, and all the reasons why I love him.
1. He has a huge heart ( he still tells us he loves us).
2. He is very smart (he was in the gifted program).
3. He is a good friend ( everybody likes Jake).
4. He is a good brother ( just ask Ashlee and James).
5. He is a good leader.
6. He does his duty.
7. He is always willing to help.
8. He is so kind to animals.
9. He is fun to be around.
10. He has a great sense of humor.

We love our Jake!!!

EASTER.....One week late

Since Ashlee and Don were out of town on Easter Sunday, we decided to postpone Easter baskets, dying eggs etc. I thought that James and Jake would be okay with that, you know since they are 13 and 15. Well I was wrong! Sunday morning they were so excited to get their Easter baskets and their candy, that I could not disappoint. Oh well. At least we waited for Ashlee to dye eggs.

GLASSES

So, I know what you are thinking! They are a joke, right? WRONG! these are James' new eye glasses! In January, he was having a little trouble seeing things too far away, so we took him to the eye Dr. and sure enough , he needed glasses. Anyone who knows James, knows that he can't have just any glasses. He has to have the MOST expensive ones. That's right, these little babies cost us a whopping $200. Anyway for that price, we sure hope he likes them!!!!!!

Ashlee's trip

So last week Don took Ashlee on a trip to Ohio. He was going there on business, and was able to take her along. They went to see the Kirtland temple and a few of the church sites there as well. My kids really enjoy the hotel stays and eating at all those fancy restaurants. Ashlee was very excited to call me and tell me that they were staying in a suite. (and that she had her very own room in the hotel). Needless to say she had a great time with her dad.
