Ashlee on the wagon ride

Yesterday we decided to go to to Heritage Park (This is the Place Monument). We had only been a couple of times, and thought that it would be a great way to remember our pioneer Ancestors. It was so much fun, we toured the homes there and the kids had the opportunity to see how the the pioneers lived. It really makes you appreciate the sacrifices that they made for us to live how we live now! They had hands on activities for the kids to participate in, Ashlee got to wash a towel the old fashioned way, and hang it on the clothes line, We went on a wagon ride. Ashlee bought some marbles with her own money, and while getting on the wagon the bag ripped and marbles went everywhere, so everyone went scrambling to save them, even complete strangers.(whew!). We went to a flag raising ceremony, where some children sang"pioneer children" it was so sweet, Brigham Young was also there to address the people:)! We had a very fun, fun day, everyone had a very good time. We are so grateful for those that came before us, and for this great valley we are able to live in!!
